Reflection

My bread making process was slow and kind of boring but overall I learned a lot.

I didn’t realize how helpful having instructions was until this project, so having instructions definitely did a lot for me. I underestimated the difficulty of making bread so when I actually did it I was quite surprised. Getting the cooking time right, so it wouldn’t be over or undercooked. I think I used a deeper bread pan than I should’ve for the amount of bread.

How did the finished bread turn out? The texture was definitely more crumbly than anticipated. There wasn’t really a crust to it just a very crumbly texture. The flavor was okay, next time I would use less salt because the salt was very strong. It smelt very bland, all I could smell was the yeast. It was slightly raw in the middle but overall cooked well.

Overall Reflection

Overall Making and baking my bread was a very new experience but also very challenging, and fun. Eating the bread kind of opened my eyes a little. I realized how different authentic bread is from factory made bread.
