Introduction
I am building a car, with hopes that it goes super fast and makes it down the track The goal of the project was to create the fastest Pinewood Derby Car, and have your car down the track the fastest. I am doing this with hopes to have a fast car, but also learn new things and be able to use all the tools in the shop more so I get more experience with the tools.
Design process
My Design is a medium sized wheel with four supports connected from the outside circle to the inside circle. I chose this design because I wanted something simpilistic but also not to thin so it wouldn’t snap. I also thought it looked fairly cool, but as long as it did its job that was the main focus for my design.

Build
During my build I had a plan but I definitely didn’t stick to my plan the whole time. I ended up splitting my wood while putting the axel in and had to wood glue it back together. I had to mess around with the tightness of the axel a lot in order to make my wheel spin in the way I wanted it to. Something I would change now knowing how my build went is the shape. I was going for a smaller car but I would probably narrow out the shape and make it a tad bit more slanted. I also cut a line into my block of wood so my axel’s were straight and not at different lengths. In order to get my car to go as fast as possible I cut a weight to be the same width of my car and I painted it pink.

Conclusion
I would say my car build and completion went okay. I am happy with how it turned out and happy with how it looked at the end. I don’t know how it raced because I wasn’t there, but I know it looked very good and promising in the test runs I did so I would say I am overall very happy with how my car turned out.
