Balsa Airplane Assignment

Introduction

I am doing this so that I don’t fail tech because that’s embarrassing. I am trying to build an airplane that hopefully flies without falling and breaking. I have to make sure all the weight is even and equally distributed throughout the whole plane. While also achieving the goal of the plane remaining in flight for at least 5 seconds.

Construction

First I drew the outline of the front wings onto the piece of wood, then I drew the outlines of the rudder, and back wings. I cut those out and measured the size to make sure they were fit for my body of my plane. I then hot glued those all onto my plane and cut my elevators with a different kind of wood. I glued those onto my wings and hot glued my motor into the front. Mr.D sinched my wires for the motor and I glued the wires to the side of the plane.

Conclusion

When I made my first Plane it was very cricked because I didn’t glue my wing onto the center line of the body and that caused it to not fly and take a pretty hard smash onto the ground. When I made my second Plane I made sure it was glued on the center line and I measured everything and angled everything very well. It flew great and on the first try!
